From Goals to Impact: How Our First Fundraiser is Changing the Game for Young Players

Our first fundraiser united our FCM community in a celebration of inclusivity, bringing our ethos of 'Football For All' to life. 

With an incredible turnout and support from all involved, including parents, carers, and members of the local community such as local councillors, we raised funds dedicated to expanding opportunities across our club, focusing on girls and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Our Goal: Making Football Accessible to Everyone

The funds raised from our inaugural event had three main focuses:

1. Expanding Girls’ Football – We believe every girl should have access to the sport.
2. Enhancing Our Coaching Team – Developing skilled coaches strengthens our program for every player.
3. Creating Opportunities for Children from All Backgrounds – Football should be accessible, regardless of financial circumstances.

The Results: A Season of Opportunities

We’re thrilled to share the impact your support has already made possible: 

• Three Full Scholarships for Girls: We’ve secured free memberships for three girls, allowing them to play for an entire season at no cost.
• New Pitch Hires: With our growing teams, additional pitch space is essential, and we’re excited to have secured new pitch hires.
• Discounted Fees for Three Girls: Financial accessibility is key, and we were able to offer discounted memberships for three girls.
• Free Easter Camp Spots: Thirteen children enjoyed our Easter camp for free, making it possible for kids to engage in the sport without financial strain.
• May & October Half-Term Camps: In addition to Easter, two kids joined our May 2024 camp free of charge, and four have been able to join our October camp without fees.
• Enhanced Coaching: We’re thrilled to have invested in Level 2 coaching certifications for our team, bringing new skills and approaches to our coaching staff.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on these achievements, we’re excited about what lies ahead. We’re already preparing for our second fundraiser and look forward to seeing what more we can accomplish. Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting our vision of making football accessible for everyone!
